STEM Teaching Materials/Equipment Rental Rules and Regulations
To ensure that all rental equipment can operate safely and efficiently and to protect the rights of equipment and users to the greatest extent possible, Kidrise has formulated the following detailed rental rules and regulations. All renters are requested to read carefully and confirm compliance with these rules before applying for and using the equipment. Renting will be deemed as full acceptance of the following terms.
1. Lease Application and Qualification Review
- Application Process:
- Online Application: The renter needs to complete the rental application form through our official website, provide contact information, affiliation, equipment requirements, rental duration and purpose.
- Document submission: Some organizations may need to submit proof of authorization or other supporting documentation so we can confirm eligibility.
- Audit Procedure:
- Kidrise will conduct a background check based on the submitted information to determine whether the renter is eligible for cooperation.
- After the review is passed, the lessee will receive a confirmation notice and a draft lease agreement before proceeding to the next step.
2. Equipment Inspection and Status Confirmation
-
Pre-rental inspection:
- Equipment detection: Each piece of equipment will be thoroughly inspected by a technician before being loaned out to ensure that it functions properly and has no obvious damage.
- Checklist: Inspection items include optical components (such as lenses, eyepieces), mechanical structures (such as focusing devices, rotating parts), power supplies and accessories.
- Status record: The inspection results will be recorded on the equipment status sheet and checked with the renter, and both parties will sign for confirmation.
-
Device Identification and Tracking:
- Each device is affixed with a unique identification code and registered in the device management system for easy tracking, statistics and management.
- When the renter picks up the device, he/she needs to sign the equipment handover list and confirm the current status of the device (including appearance, functions, and whether the accessories are complete).
III. Lease Period, Fees and Payment
-
Lease period:
- The rental period can be divided into daily, weekly, monthly and customized packages according to needs. The specific period is subject to the rental agreement.
- If the rental period needs to be extended, the lessee should notify us at least 48 hours before the end of the original rental period and extend the rental period after mutual agreement.
-
Fee calculation and payment:
- The fee is calculated based on factors such as rental type, equipment type, quantity and rental duration.
- The rental fee is payable in advance of the rental or according to the instalment plan agreed in the contract.
- The specific methods of advance payment, full payment or installment payment are specified in the rental agreement and are non-refundable after payment (not due to problems with our equipment).
-
Late Returns and Penalties:
- If the lessee fails to return the equipment within the agreed time, a daily overdue fee will be charged. The specific fee standards are referred to the rental agreement.
- Kidrise reserves the right to pursue all losses and legal liabilities for repeated overdue or serious defaults.
IV. Deposit and Liability
-
Security Deposit:
- The renter needs to pay a certain amount of deposit, which depends on the value of the rented equipment, the rental period and the renter's credit status.
- The deposit is mainly used as a guarantee for equipment damage, loss or other unexpected situations. If the equipment is returned normally without damage, the deposit will be fully refunded upon return.
-
Responsibility:
- During the rental period, if the equipment is damaged or lost due to improper use, negligence or intentional damage by the lessee, the lessee shall bear the corresponding compensation liability according to the extent of the damage.
- If the equipment has a non-human fault, the renter should notify Kidrise in time and cooperate with the fault inspection. If it is confirmed that it is a quality problem of the equipment, we will provide free repair or replacement service.
-
Insurance liability:
- Kidrise recommends that renters purchase relevant insurance (such as equipment insurance, liability insurance) to further reduce the risk of loss due to accidents.
5. Equipment Usage Specifications
-
Proper Use:
- The rental equipment is limited to the educational, experimental or research purposes agreed upon at the time of application and may not be used for commercial purposes or other illegal activities.
- Without permission, the lessee shall not modify, disassemble or otherwise operate the equipment to avoid affecting the performance and safety of the equipment.
-
Operation training:
- Before renting, Kidrise will provide basic operation training to ensure that the renter or designated operator is familiar with the equipment operation procedures, precautions and maintenance methods.
- Training can be delivered via live demonstrations, operating manuals, or online video resources.
-
Safe Use:
- All safe operating practices must be followed when using the equipment, including wearing necessary protective equipment.
- If an abnormal situation occurs during operation (such as circuit abnormality, mechanical jam), stop using the product immediately and notify technical support.
-
Prohibition of re-lending and re-selling:
- The Lessee may not sublease, loan, sell or otherwise transfer the Equipment to a third party. If you wish to share your data with other organizations, you must obtain Kidrise's prior written permission.
6. Delivery, installation and return process
-
Delivery and installation:
- Kidrise will arrange professional delivery according to the rental agreement and ensure that the equipment is well packed and shock-proofed during delivery.
- Some high-priced or professional equipment will be delivered with on-site installation services, and professional technicians will perform installation, commissioning and operation demonstrations.
-
Equipment Return:
- After the lease period expires, the lessee must return the equipment to the designated location in accordance with the requirements of the lease agreement.
- When returning the equipment, both parties shall jointly inspect the equipment and record its current status. For damage other than normal wear and tear, compensation will be calculated based on the inspection results and the corresponding amount will be deducted from the deposit.
-
Return exception handling:
- If the device is faulty or missing when returned, the renter needs to fill out an equipment abnormality report. Kidrise will arrange a technician to inspect it and negotiate a solution with the renter.
VII. Dispute Resolution and Amendment of Terms
-
Dispute Resolution:
- During the lease period, if the two parties have any disputes over the equipment status, fee settlement or other matters, they should first be resolved through friendly negotiation.
- If no agreement can be reached through negotiation, both parties agree to submit the matter to a local arbitration institution for arbitration or resolve it through legal procedures.
-
Amendments to the Terms:
- Kidrise reserves the right to modify and update these rental rules and regulations at any time and will notify the renter in advance via email, website announcement or other means.
- The revised terms will take effect from the date of publication, and if the renter continues to use the equipment, it will be deemed to have accepted the latest terms.
8. Other additional terms
- Data Protection and Privacy:
- The personal and institutional information provided by the renter will only be used for rental management and service support, will not be disclosed to third parties, and will comply with local data protection laws and regulations.
- Emergency Contact and Emergency Measures:
- If the renter encounters any emergency during the use of the device, he/she should immediately contact Kidrise customer service or technical support hotline, and we will provide emergency assistance as soon as possible.
- If a serious accident occurs, both parties will jointly activate the emergency plan to ensure the safety of equipment and personnel.
IX. Renter's Statement and Consent
When signing the rental agreement, the lessee confirms that he has read and understood all the above rules and regulations in detail and agrees to strictly abide by all terms during the rental period. If you have any questions, you should fully communicate with Kidrise before signing.
